Day of Fasting and Prayer - Exaltation of the Holy Cross

CBA is calling upon all members to set aside this Friday, September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, as a day of prayer and penance for the intentions of the victims of the current crisis in our church, and for healing for the Church.  We ask each of our member to make a special effort to attend Mass and to fast.

For those who have been victims of abuse and have never spoken up, we encourage you now to come forward.  The Catholic Bar Association has communicated with the Center for Healing in Kansas City, Missouri and they are available to speak with anyone who would like a referral for a counselor.  While we will never be able to appreciate what the victims of sexual abuse have gone through, for those of you who have been victimized please know that our hearts and prayers are with you.
